STEM
Our STEM curriculum is designed to provide pupils with opportunities to embed our Curriculum Essentials of Possibilities, Global Awareness and Creativity. Within units of work, key figures in STEM fields of work are identified. Teachers will use these as aspirational figures and expose pupils to their notable achievements. This will demonstrate the link between the intended learning and what these role models have given the world.
Regular STEM enrichment opportunities such as ‘British Science Week’, ‘International Day of Maths’, STEM club and many more, provide additional opportunities for children to discover people who they may not have learnt about during their regular lessons. Pupils will also have the opportinity to meet ‘real-life’ scientists, mathematicians and designers during our annual ‘Careers Week.
British Science Week 2023
As part of British Science Week, pupils were invited to take a photo of ‘Science All Around Us’. Take a look at some of our fabulous entries. Well done to our winners, Alfred, Evan and Gabriella!
